Summary

I’m the last single mom standing。

We had a plan。 Move into my great aunt’s old house and raise our kids together。 Just four best friends, doing their best to stay afloat。

But then three of them had to go and fall in love。

Now my crumbling brownstone is filled with loving couples, leaving me in the cold。

And the pressure is on to finish fixing things up。

But just when I’ve given up hope, a contractor shows up at my door, tape measure at the ready to make my home renovation dreams come true。

But there’s a catch。 He’s overbearing, bossy, and infuriatingly handsome。

Our personalities immediately clash and for once, the faulty wiring isn’t the cause of all the sparks。 Despite my best attempts to get rid of him, he persists, fixing things and winning over my roommates, and eventually my kids。

And when a burst pipe results in a hot and heavy make-out session, I’m left wondering if my man-hating days might be behind me。

Because he’s not just renovating my home, but fixing all the cracks in my jaded heart。

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 An amazing finish to an amazing series, I really liked Enzo and Delia together and loved the twins。 Enzo was the perfect man for Delia and loved how much she opened up。 The ending with 4 houses with connecting doors ❤️ the epilogue with them both proposing to each other 🤣

This was the perfect ending to this series。

Book 4 of this series is a funny/cute story of an older bossy lady that i am not sure why Medusa was an acurate nickname for her。 Anyways, the falling brownstone she inheritated needs a lot of tlc。 Enter Enzo, a contractor thats a workalcoholic。 Anyways, Enzo works for Delia to renovate the house with her friends and their kids。 A lively house that is fully of chaos because of those kids。 But this was a nice story of each lady finding their happily ever after。

so freakin good! I’m so obsessed with this little series。 These were wonderful and I do believe that Delia and Enzo’s was my favorite。 Each man was towing and kind but Enzo knew he had to handle Delia in a different way and he did it so well。 Watching him fall for those girls was truly entertaining。 Watching him break down Delia’s walls was so dang good。 Highly recommended。

adorable! This was the final installment in the MomCom series and it wrapped it up perfectly。 Delia found her hunky construction worker, Enzo。 I loved how they finished the series with all the families getting side by side homes, moving out of the brownstone but all staying together。 The adjoining doors was a great idea。 I’m happy for Delia and love Enzo!

“Delia: Keep dreaming。 Enzo: I never stop dreaming about you。” Omg, this one was worth the whole series 😍The story was perfect, you had the build up of them getting to know each other, Enzo was his own man and held his own。 He was there for Delia and her girls when they needed him and knew how important it was to not let them down。 I could not get enough of their dynamic。 🥹

A terrific conclusion to the Momcoms series。 Mother Hater was full of great banter, swoon-worthy moments, fun times and angst that made this book impossible to put down。 Mother Hater is the perfect title for this one because we are given Cordella Masters, Medusa as Bossman calls her。 She literally hates men, doesn't need them in her and her twin daughter's lives and is doing just fine without them, or is she? Living with her three best friends, their children and now the men that they love, in a run-down brownstone house sees Della having to deal with too much but never lets on。 In walks Enzo, a contractor that Bossman, one of her friend's hubby, kinda blackmailed to take on the job of finishing the work that needs to be done to the house。 Boy did visual daggers get thrown when Della finds out about Enzo, both at him and Bossnan。 However, Enzo dogges them and ploughs his way into her house and her heart。 The angst and banter that the two of them had was amazing and had me laughing all the time。 What I did love is how Enzo had such an amazing connection to her twins, or as the Bossman calls them the Sh8ining Twins。 He won them over in no time and this is what melts Della's heart。 He saw her for who she really is and showed her that she is a great lawyer, an outstanding mom and a true friend。 As he chipped away at the walls around her heart, she warmed up to the idea of having a man in her life, but you could never tell her friends that。This book and the series are a terrific interconnected series that is a must on anyone's romcom list and I highly recommend picking up the series。 。。。more

Not 1 wedding。 No completion。 But the worst part was having the whole series tied around a community of moms raising their kids together and that strong sisterhood then the ending wasn’t even their POV?! And we got a huge announcement but barely breadcrumbs with the ladies and kids reaction。 Way too rushed and incomplete feeling。 It left me feeling mad and yuck after I grew to love this fictional family and spent a month reading their stories。 I feel like this didn’t give the HEA vibes just HFN ish。 。。。more

This was a fun story。 It is the final book in a series, but can be read as a standalone which is how I enjoyed it。 Delia and Enzo were so great together and their dynamic and banter were amazing! Reading this made me want to go back and read the first three books in the series so I can see how all the established couples got together。

Daphne Elliot’s “Mother Hater” is the fourth and final book in the Momcoms series, and it was an absolutely incredible read, just like the others。 I’m definitely a little emotional over the fact that there aren’t going to be any more books in this series。 I fell in love with this wonderfully unique world and this dysfunctional but loving family, so it’s a little bittersweet for me。 Enzo and Delia’s story was the perfect conclusion to the Momcoms。 To me, it made perfect sense that Delia was the l Daphne Elliot’s “Mother Hater” is the fourth and final book in the Momcoms series, and it was an absolutely incredible read, just like the others。 I’m definitely a little emotional over the fact that there aren’t going to be any more books in this series。 I fell in love with this wonderfully unique world and this dysfunctional but loving family, so it’s a little bittersweet for me。 Enzo and Delia’s story was the perfect conclusion to the Momcoms。 To me, it made perfect sense that Delia was the last to fall, because she had convinced herself that she didn’t need a man or romantic love in her life。 But Enzo definitely bulldozed into her life and changed that! In my opinion, Enzo was an amazing love interest and a well-written character, and I loved how soft he was for “his girls” (Delia and her twin daughters, Phoebe and Collette)。 Neither Enzo nor Delia was looking for love when they first met, but all of that changed the more they got to know each other。 I loved watching Delia find a man who understood her and supported her and her children。 I also loved Enzo for his personality and the way he refused to let the people he cared about down。 The series epilogue made me so happy as well。 I highly recommend this book, this series, and Daphne Elliot as an author! 。。。more

You won’t regret it 😊 Phew, now, I will say, most of my reviews typically bounce around from idea to idea – blame it on the ADD – but I don’t think the Mother Hater review will work this way。 Let me add in here that I read out of order and read Mother Hater first。 After this book, I cannot wait to devour the first three in the MomComs – I know it’s going to be worth it, even out of order 😊 First, let me say – from the very beginning, I found myself highlighting > 50% of the pages than I left unhighlighted as I read on my Kindle。 I normally highlight attributes of characters so I can keep up with what everyone looks like in case there’s an intense, suspenseful scene where only the character is described – I know some of you out there know what I’m talking about! The other things I highlight are moments I would love to go back and re-read again because I thoroughly enjoyed them for either being super steamy/spicy, intellectual, or funny。 I can tell you, there’s a damn good mix of that in my highlights from this book。 I cannot shout from the rooftops enough that everyone I know who is a mom, aunt, nanny, etc – if you are involved in a child’s life, it doesn’t matter if you are a mother or not, you need to add the MomComs to your TBR! I can say that only having read this latest book, Mother Hater。 Okay – my favorite part of the book, obviously apart from the love story that results in a HEA – is the twins。 Delia’s twins are Sheldon Cooper in female form, duplicated in to two bodies。 Daphne Elliot hit the nail on the head when it came to the “com” part of this MomCom。 I was so proud of all the kids, not just the twins, as I read this novel。 In addition, the amazing support system Delia had in her girlfriends was amazing。 Come on, we know this story, as a whole, is just like Diane described it in "It Takes Two": “that can’t-eat, can’t-sleep, reach-for-the-stars, over-the-fence, World Series kind of stuff。” Never have I read a book that summed this quote up perfectly。 (Yeah, I’m an 80s kid, the Olsen twins were dope, so sue me。)The character Delia reminds me of who I wanted to be when I was in 6th grade, and we had a career play where we all got on stage and dressed the part + acted out what we wanted to be in the future。 I said I wanted to be lawyer because I could argue anything with anyone。 So, while that was definitely a short-sighted view of what lawyers do, I found myself drawing back on that memory as I read about Delia。 She is the epitome of what I wanted to act out and share in 6th grade。 (The ADD was undiagnosed at the time LOL。) Delia is strong, calculated, yet vulnerable in many ways but she doesn’t want anyone else to see it because she doesn’t want to be viewed as weak。 One of my favorite quotes from the book that reflects this idea is below:“The cooking and the cleaning and the helping with homework were expected。 But the mental load? No one prepares mothers for that work。 The constant worry and fear for our children。The realization that we’ll never sleep soundly again because there are pieces of our hearts and souls walking around this earth。 It’s the crux of motherhood。 […] Happy Monday to me。”This quote meant too freaking much to me because while I can understand Delia is a fictional character who thought these thoughts, these thoughts were written by another mother who clearly saw directly through to my soul。 It made me feel less alone in this world we walk through as a mom on a daily basis。 Lastly, Enzo made my short list of book boyfriends I wish I could magically make appear in real life。 *Sigh* His attention to detail, his perseverance, his follow-through – MAJOR SWOON。 He scaled a flipping crane to show up for his girls for Christ's sake!! This character was chef’s kiss, IMO。 Amazing job, Daphne! (I can’t say more because I feel like I’ll give everything away。 JUST GO READ IT!)I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily。BookIG: @tequilamockingbirdlady 。。。more

When I say Delia met her match with Enzo, she sure did! She kept pushing and pushing, and the more she pushed, the harder Enzo pulled, and he seemed to wouldn’t give in or allow Delia to push away and hide from her feelings。 It was so entertaining and heartfelt to watch! Enzo winning over the shining twins just made everything all the better。 I loved reading this entire series and watching all four moms grow and get their second chance at happiness。 It was beautiful to see。 。。。more
